delightful shaker kitchen
– A Case Study
Location, location, location
Our clients moved into a new property in the delightful village of Bishop Sutton. The house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the location ticked all their boxes. The downstairs layout however left a lot to be desired.
The original kitchen was a small, cramped space with no character. Our clients had the internal walls removed to open up the space into a light, generous kitchen dining room. We worked with the clients to achieve a layout and design that maximised the new space whilst keeping the open, spacious feel.
Maximising the spaces was key and sliding cutlery drawers above deeper storage drawers, knife blocks and tray recesses were all part of the final design. A shaker design (with gentle chamfers on the door stiles to minimise dust collection) in Ash to give a grained appearance when painted, this kitchen is now calm and welcoming.
